Today

We were looking at how words give us representations of the elements of art.        

the words that we had to represent were:

Bang, Spicy, Smooth, squabble, cool, pop,honey, accelerator, abstract, man power, february, government, abuzz, environment and academic.

Some i found easier than others, i think that you have to have an open mind when you do tasks like this because if you try and represent some thing that you think you all ready know what the answer is you are not going to achieve the best you can out of the activity. 

I found academic the hardest to represent beacuse it think it is such a complex word and has different connections with different people (like all things)

We then had to try and represent our name though the elements of art.

I choose my full name: Lillian

heres how it turned out:

i think that it depends how you say my name

if you say it forcefully then the deeper red tones from this piece show through

but you can also say it all together like in a motion as show in the curved blue continuos line

so thats way i used the gesso to link the two parts of my name together to create a whole representation of my name rather then two different ones.
