Unit of work:

Firstly this term we have to select on of the archetypes for the 12, create a sketch of it and describe the qualities of the archetype both positive and negative.

This is my brain storming my three favorite archetypes the sage, innocent/child and caregiver.

I then sketched ideas down for the final three:

After that preliminary work i then decided upon the sage as it was a strong representation of my great grandma. I feel though that i have similar qualities to this archetype also, as she is one of my hero's. I feel that i have a connection to her though these traits. At first i was going to create an archetype solely based on me but as i did further investigation into its characteristics i saw how similar their characteristics are. A list of the Sage's positive and negatives is in my visual diary. Below is my initial design for my sage doll.

Once i had started creating my archetype, i realised that that i could alter my design slightly to get the most out of my portrail of her qualities so her is a photo of my thinking through the alterations in my visual diary.
