Reflection
Today we did a tasting task to get our senses working, to interpret the flavor. Firstly we ate a piece of musk stick and we had to use visual language to represented this taste. I chose the colours of purple and white to represent the musk flavor which is subtle, fragrant and sweet. Though my use of curved continuous line, that was soft yet having a slight edge, i feel that this was representative to the musk texture. This interpretation was drawn on top of a background which was an ink and water piece to music (yellow and green) which had then been layered with newspaper which was torn to the sound of another piece of music to ad another layer. This was connected to the background through the use of gesso line work. The next food given was a surprise we had to shut our eyes while receiving the food. It had a taste which was sharp, surprising yet rememberable and dynamic. I guessed that is was a wasabi pea and it turned out to be correct.  I used warm colour combination of pink, yellow orange straight bursting line to represent this intense food flavour. I used white to combined the composition of the wasabi flavor with the work as a whole . so that is became unified as a whole piece and not lost of experiments.

Another experimental piece:
Background is ink and water to music. Then layered with gesso and more ink to another music piece of a different style. Pastels were also used to portray the nest diemnntion of music. then charcoal gesso pastel was used to represent the flavor of licorice to create the final layer of this experimental piece.
